"A month or two ago, I purchased a set of black speakers for my motorcycle. I have a Honda ST1100 and was able to mount them nicely on the handlebars. The wiring runs under the handlebar cover to a rocker switch. I used an illuminated switch so that way I know if the speakers are on. I mounted a CD player/radio to the right on the fairing. I glued (epoxy) a nylon nut to the bottom of the CD player along with some rubber 'feet.'

"The only difficulty was finding a good ground. I had to wrap the handlebars with a strip of rubber to get a tight fit to the speaker clamps, since all the parts at that point are gloss black painted metal. I ended up running the ground directly back to the battery. Power runs from the battery directly. I did use an in-line fuse in the wiring.

"By the way, they sound great and I am very impressed with the volume they put out."
